Baird/STR Hotel Stock Index

TheBaird/STR Hotel Stock Index was at 2257.68 as of 10 a.m. this morning. It closed Thursday at 2263.32.

Chesapeake Lodging Trust

Wells Fargo initiated Chesapeake Lodging Trust (NYSE: CHSP) coverage at “outperform,” according to StreetInsider.com.

Shares of the Annapolis, Maryland-based real-estate investment trust closed Thursday at US$19.02 per share and are up 0.1% year-to-date.

Goldman Sachs ratings

Goldman Sachs initiated coverage of DiamondRock Hospitality Company (NYSE: DRH) with a “neutral” rating and US$11.50 price target, according to StreetInsider.com.

Bethesda, Maryland-based DiamondRock’s stock closed Thursday at US$10.83 per share and is up 27.9% year-to-date.

Goldman also assigned a “neutral” rating to FelCor Lodging Trust (NYSE: FCH) and set the price target at US$6.75, according to American Banking & Market News.

Irving, Texas-based FelCor’s stock closed Thursday at US$6.43 per share. The stock is up 78.6% year-to-date.

Marriott International

MKM initiated coverage of Bethesda, Maryland-based Marriott International (NYSE: MAR) with a “neutral” rating and US$45 price target, according to American Banking & Market News.

Marriott’s stock closed Thursday at US$40.52 per share. It is up 48.7% year-to-date.
