CLEVELAND—Americas Best Value Inn®/Canadas Best Value Inn® maintained its consistent growth in 2011 with the addition of 35 new properties during the second quarter. In good or bad economic times, hotel owners across North America continue to be attracted to the brand that offers the affordable alternative to traditional hotel franchising.

Americas Best Value Inn expanded in 20 states (four new locations in both Texas and Missouri and three in Georgia), including major cities such as Houston, St. Louis and Lincoln, NE, and destination locations such as Clearwater, FL and South Padre Island, TX. The largest additions were a 184-room property in Eureka, MO and a 121-room new construction in Amelia, LA.

The Canadas Best Value Inn brand welcomed a 50-room, pet-friendly property in Belleville, Ontario, which is located halfway between Toronto and Ottawa; and a 56-room hotel in Lethbridge, which is the largest city in Southern Alberta. Overall, Canadas Best Value Inn has added five hotels in the last nine months, with more expected throughout the year.

The 35 new inns, hotels, and suites of Vantage Hospitality Group’s limited-service brands totaled 2,221 rooms and included conversions from brands such as Best Western®, Days Inn®, and Comfort Inn®, as well as a dozen independent properties.

The brands’ members enjoy the advantage of Vantage’s Freestyle® brand affiliation model, which allows hotel owners to pay low, flat, monthly fees based on number of rooms – not a percentage of revenue as do other national hotel brands that typically charge fees that are three to five times higher than Vantage. Owners also have short-term contracts, a voice and a vote in the direction of the brand, the one-of-a-kind 100% Return On Investment Promise, reasonable property improvement plans, and the ability to be in business for themselves, not by themselves.

“As the economy and hospitality industry continue to recover, ABVI and CBVI continue to grow at a steady pace. Hotel owners are seeing the value of joining our brand with all of our progressive, revenue-generating programs and comprehensive resources. Vantage Hospitality is also growing and evolving by constantly adding more corporate support team personnel and further advancing technology and resources. And we’re continuing to expand our portfolio of member resources, such as our full-service insurance agency, Vantage Insurance Services, and our unique relationship with Brown Nester Hospitality Services, a leading hotel brokerage company,” said Roger Bloss, the Founder, President and CEO of Vantage Hospitality Group, which is the parent company of Americas Best Value Inn, Canadas Best Value Inn, Chinas Best Value Inn®, Value Inn Worldwide®, Lexington Hotels® and Lexington Inns®.
