Tour de Data dives into Dallas hotel data

BOULDER, Colorado—Tour de Data, hosted by STR Analytics and the STR family of companies, is making its next stop in Dallas, Texas, to reveal in-depth statistics on the market.

Tour de Data events give attendees a look at the latest hotel industry trends and data as well as innovative ways to use it. The event will offer market-specific data, national industry overviews, innovative ways to benchmark and the power comp-set series.

Hosted at the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas, the event will be held Thursday, August 16 from 4:30 p.m.  to 7:00 p.m. CST. Tour de Data Dallas-Fort Worth will consist of presentation, panel discussion and a cocktail networking event.

STR Analytics will give attendees a comprehensive look at the Dallas and Fort Worth markets, presenting statistics such as:

  • In 2011, Dallas saw an 11.8-percent growth in revenue per available room, representing the largest growth in RevPAR since 2006.
  • The market’s June 2012 active pipeline included 4,033 rooms entering the market. The Upper Midscale segment saw the largest addition of rooms, increasing 14 percent.
  • So far during 2012, Fort Worth has seen more growth in the transient segment than group segment. Transient RevPAR has increased 9.5 percent, compared to an 8.6-percent decrease in group RevPAR.
  • Among the Top 25 Markets, Dallas ranks 19th in terms of occupancy and fourth in terms of room supply percent change for June year-to-date.
