Here is a collection of HNN’s coverage of the hospitality industry’s response to Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria and the earthquakes in Mexico.

GLOBAL REPORT—Over a period of weeks from late August through September 2017, natural disasters have devastated cities on the southeast coast of the United States, especially in Texas and Florida, as well as Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean islands. Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas as a Category 4 storm on 25 August, and since then, two other major hurricanes (Irma and Maria) and a sequence of earthquakes have dealt their destruction.

In the aftermath of these disasters, Hotel News Now’s editorial staff reached out to hoteliers with properties in the affected regions to gauge the impact on the hotel industry. Data and research from STR, parent company of HNN, also has added some perspective on how hotel performance has been affected and could be affected going forward.
