NASHVILLE, Tennessee—As a result of the record-breaking flooding in early May that forced the temporary closure of the Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Conference Center, the second Hotel Data Conference, presented by Gaylord Hotels and hosted by STR and HotelNewsNow.com, will now be held August 4-5, 2010 at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville.

“It is an unfortunate situation that we must move the Hotel Data Conference from the Gaylord Opryland in 2010, but we’re pleased that to keep the event in Nashville on the dates that it was originally scheduled for,” said Mark Lomanno, president of STR. “The hotel community in the city, as well as throughout Tennessee, has been receptive to accommodating our needs, and we are happy to work with Managing Director Tom Negri and his great staff at the Loews Vanderbilt.”

Topics scheduled to be covered during the 2010 Hotel Data Conference include: U.S. hotel industry overview of historical performance; U.S. hotel industry forecast perspectives from hospitality experts; business and leisure traveler sentiment trends; and effects of pricing decisions during recessionary times.

The registration fee for the conference is $695 and the Loews Vanderbilt is offerening conference attendees a special discounted room rate of $140. Visit www.HotelDataConference.com to register and obtain more information about the conference.

The Platinum sponsor for this year’s conference is Gaylord Hotels. Other sponsors include:
Gold sponsors—Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, M3 and TravelCLICK
Bronze sponsors—PKF Hospitality Research and Rubicon
Patron sponsors—Dometic and DirecTV
