LONDON—The Europe hotel development pipeline comprises 786 hotels totalling 127,520 rooms, according to the June 2011 STR Global Construction Pipeline Report.
Among the countries in the region, the United Kingdom ended the month with the largest number of rooms under construction with15,038 rooms (of the 38,339 rooms in the country’s total active pipeline). Other countries to report a significant number of rooms under construction: Russia (6,341 rooms); Germany (5,583 rooms); Turkey (4,343 rooms); and France (3,172 rooms).
