CLEVELAND, Ohio—Hotel owners seeking more revenue and global resources, and the ability to be in business for themselves, not by themselves continue to discover Americas Best Value Inn®, as the world’s 10th largest hotel brand added 35 properties to the system during the first quarter of 2012.
Americas Best Value Inn added locations in 22 states, including five in California and three apiece in Texas and Michigan, as well as popular destinations such as Greensboro, NC; and Columbus, OH. Canadas Best Value Inn® also gained two new properties in Ontario (Parry Sound and Richmond Hill, which is located just outside of Toronto) for a total of 12 in the country’s most populous province.
ABVI’s and CBVI’s 35 new inns, hotels and suites totaled 2,006 rooms and included conversions from several independent properties, as well as from brands such as Best Western®, Days Inn®, Microtel Inns & Suites®, Travelodge®, Ramada®, Quality Inn®, and Howard Johnson®, proving ABVI to be a very viable alternative to the legacy brands.
A limited-service brand with more than 1,000 properties, ABVI operates under its Freestyle® brand affiliation, which allows hotel owners to pay low, flat, monthly fees based on number of rooms – not a percentage of revenue as do other national hotel brands that typically charge fees that are three to five times higher than ABVI’s. Owners also have short-term contracts, a voice and a vote in the direction of the brand, and the one-of-a-kind 100% Return On Investment Promise, and aren’t forced into unreasonable property improvement plans.
“This was our strongest opening quarter of growth since 2007, so it shows that hotel owners throughout North America are finding real value and R.O.I. in our membership, which includes numerous innovative programs and comprehensive resources that help them drive revenue, such as our new $1, $2, $3 a day renovation program. Hoteliers are also attracted to our new global CRS, powered by Sabre, that provides the highest level of connectivity worldwide with enhanced web and mobile booking solutions,” said Roger Bloss, the Founder, President and CEO of Vantage Hospitality Group, which is the parent company of Americas Best Value Inn, Canadas Best Value Inn, Chinas Best Value Inn®, Value Inn Worldwide®, Lexington Hotels® and Lexington Inns®.
