  • The Washington, D.C., Central Business District reported performance growth across the board. The tract surpassed the 2008 RevPAR peak in 2011 by 1 percent.
  • The Frederick/Rockville Tract of Washington, D.C., reported the highest demand growth of all areas in the market at 3.6 percent during the 12-month period through March 2012. The tract’s revenue per available room is currently at 97 percent of the 2008 RevPAR peak.

“We are looking forward to bringing Tour de Data to the Washington, D.C., hotel market,” said Steve Hennis, director at STR Analytics. “The event is a great opportunity for hoteliers to gain knowledge of lodging trends in the D.C. area and to learn how to use this data to better understand the current competitive environment.”

The remaining 2012 Tour de Data events will be held in San Francisco and Atlanta. Each will offer market-specific data, national industry overviews, innovative ways to benchmark, unique data only released at events and the power comp-set series.
