Hot data in the city
Posted by Stacey Mieyal Higgins at 12:00 AM

We are excited about the kickoff of the second Hotel Data Conference at the Loews Vanderbilt in Nashville today! We also are excited that the air conditioning is fully operational, as temperatures are expected to surpass 100 degrees.

Speaking of temperatures, I can’t think of another place to get data this hot. If you’re interested in the latest factoids from STR and other industry leaders, such as Mark Woodworth at PKF-Hospitality Research and Scott Berman at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, among others, make sure to follow our coverage on HotelNewsNow.com.

Jeff Higley, editorial director of HotelNewsNow.com, has promised to offer regular updates on Twitter, and you can find other staff and attendees’ tweets using #HDC.

You can also follow all the HDC action via the conference’s own Twitter account @hoteldataconf.

We also plan to have extensive story coverage of the sessions from Nashville beginning tomorrow. My personal favorite panel will be the Fireside Chats with Randy Smith and Mark Lomanno. The audience will be able to ask the founding STR duo (almost) anything. Let’s hope they get creative!
